Monroe Reservoir (Lake Monroe) is just a few minutes away from Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park campground. With 10,750 acres, Lake Monroe is Indiana’s largest lake. Access is easy with a total of 9 boat ramps. Our campground is closest to Fairfax SRA and Salt Creek SRA, both at the southwest corner of Lake Monroe.
Lake Monroe has areas great for powerboating, as well as paddlesports and fishing. The area east of the SR 446 causeway is set aside as an idle zone, so it is perfect for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The largest area of the lake, west of the SR 446 causeway is ideal for powerboaters.
